Scan a receipt · Track every warranty · Never miss an expiry

Point your camera at the bill. We'll do the rest.

The purchase date, the amount, the shop, the invoice number — read straight off the receipt and turned into a warranty you can actually find again. No typing, no account, and the photo never leaves your phone.

The actual problem

Nobody forgets they have a warranty. They forget when it ends.

Look around one room. A television, a fridge, a washing machine, a microwave, a laptop, two phones, a vacuum, a mixer, a router, an air conditioner. Each arrived with cover that runs six months, a year, two years, five, sometimes ten. Each came with a receipt that is now somewhere in a drawer, an inbox, or gone.

Holding all of that in your head is not a discipline problem. It is genuinely impossible. So the pattern repeats: something fails, you are fairly sure it is still covered, you cannot prove when you bought it, and you pay for a repair you had already paid to avoid.

The receipt outlives nothing

Till receipts are printed on thermal paper. They fade to a blank slip within a year or two — comfortably inside a two-year warranty. The cover is still valid; the proof is not.

The dates do not line up

Six months here, three years there, five on the compressor but one on the rest of the unit. There is no single renewal season to check, which is exactly why things slip past.

You find out too late

Nothing tells you a warranty is about to end. You discover the date at the moment you need it, which is always a few weeks after it passed.

What this is, and what it is not

We do not sell you cover. We make sure you use the cover you have.

Almost everything in this space sells you a second product: an extended warranty, a protection plan, a damage policy. That is a different business with a different problem — you pay up front, and then find out at claim time whether the exclusions, the depreciation clause and the service-area limits leave you with anything.

Warrantyfy sells you nothing to claim against. It is a record. The manufacturer's warranty you already own is usually the cover you needed all along; it just expires quietly while the paperwork goes missing.

Comparison between protection plans and a warranty tracker
Protection plans & extended warranties Warrantyfy
What you pay for A policy, priced per device and per year Nothing. The tracker is free
What you get A promise to repair or replace, subject to terms Your own records, dates and receipts, in order
Can your claim be refused? Yes — exclusions, depreciation, service-area limits, claim caps There is no claim to refuse. You deal with the brand directly
Who holds your documents The provider's servers and systems Your own browser, on your own device
If you stop paying Cover ends Nothing to stop paying. Your records are yours
Covers things you already own Usually not — plans attach at or near purchase Yes. Add a five-year-old fridge in under a minute

To be clear: a protection plan can be worth buying, particularly for a phone screen or an expensive laptop. The two are not alternatives. If you do buy one, record its policy number and end date here alongside the manufacturer's warranty — then you can see both, and you will know which one to call.

How it works

Four steps, then it looks after itself.

Scan the bill, or type it

Point your camera at the receipt and the date, amount, shop and invoice number are read off it. Or enter them yourself — it is three fields that matter.

Check what was read

Every detected field is shown beside the line of text it came from. Correct anything wrong before it is saved, and the photo is kept as the receipt.

Dates work themselves out

The end date, the months remaining and the status are calculated and recalculated every day. You never edit a date column again.

Get told before it lapses

Anything inside your warning window turns amber on the dashboard. Export the lot as calendar reminders and your own calendar does the nagging.

The calculation, since it is the thing most people get wrong

A warranty does not end on the purchase anniversary. It ends the day before it. Buy a product with 24 months of cover on 2 December 2023 and the last fully covered day is 1 December 2025 — not the 2nd.

That single day is the difference between a free repair and a paid one if you walk in on the last morning. Warrantyfy applies it automatically, and handles the awkward cases too: one month of cover bought on 31 January ends 27 February, because adding a month to the 31st has to land on the end of a short month rather than spilling into March.

What is in it

Built for people who buy a lot of things.

If you own five products this is convenient. If you own fifty — a family, a rented flat, a small office, a side business — it is the difference between knowing and guessing.

Point your camera at the bill

The scanner reads the purchase date, the amount, the shop, the invoice number — and the warranty period when the receipt states it. Each field is shown next to the line it came from, for you to confirm or correct before anything is saved. The photo becomes the attached receipt in the same step.

The reading happens on your phone. The image is never uploaded to an OCR service, because that would make everything else on this page untrue.

A dashboard that answers one question

How many products are in warranty, how many are close to the edge, how many have lapsed. Four numbers, updated daily, and each one is a filter — tap Near Expiry and you are looking at only those.

Search that finds things the way you remember them

One box, filtering as you type. It matches the serial number off the sticker, the shop you bought it from, the receipt number, the tag, the month it runs out. Type expired, or march 2027, and you get exactly that.

Three ways to look at it

Cards when you are browsing, compact rows when you are scanning, and a full spreadsheet table with every field when you want it all at once. Your choice is remembered.

Receipts attached to the product

Bills, invoices, warranty cards, manuals, a photo of the serial label. Attached to the record, so the proof and the date live together instead of in two different places.

A calendar of what runs out when

Every expiry on a month grid, colour-coded, so a cluster of three ending in the same fortnight is obvious at a glance instead of a surprise.

Your data leaves whenever you want

Export every product as a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet. Export the whole thing — receipts included — as one backup file. Import a sheet you already keep, and every expiry date is recalculated as it lands.

A claim-readiness score

Having the date is not the same as being able to prove it. Each record is scored on whether it would actually survive a service counter, and tells you what is missing while there is still time to fix it.

One site, every screen

The same page on a phone, a tablet and a laptop — not three apps to install and keep updated. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, offline included.

Private because of how it is built

Not a promise in a policy document — there is simply nowhere to send your data. No account, no server, no copy of your receipts anywhere but your own device.

Who this is for

Anyone whose purchases outran their memory.

A household that keeps buying

Appliances, electronics, phones for four people, furniture, the things that break. Tag by room or by person and you can answer "what is still covered in the kitchen" without opening a single drawer.

Someone who moved in recently

Twenty purchases in three months, twenty receipts in one envelope. Enter them once while you still have the bills, and the next five years look after themselves.

A small office or studio

Laptops, monitors, chairs, the printer nobody likes. Purchase value, purchase date and remaining cover in a table you can export for whoever asks for it.

A landlord or a property manager

Appliances across several units, each bought at a different time. Tag by property, filter by expiry, and know which geyser is still the manufacturer's problem rather than yours.

Anyone who resells

Remaining warranty is worth real money on a resale, and being able to hand over the original bill is worth more. Both are a tap away.

Someone already doing this in a spreadsheet

Then you already know the method works, and that maintaining the formulas is the tedious part. Import your sheet; the dates are recalculated as they land.

Optional extra

A complete warranty report, when you need to be taken seriously.

The tracker is free and stays free. The one paid item is a formatted document built from your own records: purchase and expiry dates, warranty length, serial numbers, seller details, attached-document index and a claim-readiness assessment.

Useful for a service centre that wants paperwork rather than a verbal account, a home-insurance claim after a fire or theft, a landlord-tenant handover, or an accountant asking what the office owns and what it is still covered for.

Questions about cost

Every answer here was checked against what the application actually does.

Is Warrantyfy free to use?

Yes, for up to 20 products. There is no trial period, no card and no account required. Receipt scanning, expiry calculation, the dashboard, the calendar, search and filtering, CSV import and export, backup and restore, and a one-product summary report are all included at no cost.

Is the ₹199 payment recurring?

No. It is a single payment, once. There is no subscription, no renewal, no monthly or yearly charge and nothing to cancel.

This site stores no card details. The payment is handled by Razorpay, and the only thing that reaches our server is confirmation that it succeeded.

What exactly does the Complete Warranty Report include?

One document built from your own records, with these sections:

  • A product asset register, in the form an insurer asks for
  • Your total recorded purchase value, and how much of it is still under cover
  • A breakdown by product category
  • A month-by-month warranty expiry schedule, including the months where several products run out together
  • Claim-readiness information for each product, showing what a record is missing
  • An index of every receipt and document you attached
  • Cover that has already ended, retained as proof of ownership
  • Recommended actions, in priority order

Does ₹199 unlock unlimited product tracking?

Yes. Once the unlock is active the 20-product limit no longer applies, and there is no replacement cap. We would rather state that plainly than have you discover it after paying.

One honest detail about how it travels between devices: an unlock code activates on up to three. If you redeem it while signed in to a Warrantyfy account, the purchase is saved to that account instead, and signing in anywhere brings it with you without using up an activation. The three-device figure exists so a code posted publicly stops working, not to limit you.

Is there a product limit on the free plan?

Yes, and it is the only limit: 20 products. Beyond that there is nothing hidden — no cap on attachments other than what your device can store, no watermark on anything, no trial clock and no feature that quietly stops working.

What happens when I reach the product limit?

You stop being able to add new products. That is the entire effect.

Nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden. Every product and receipt you have already saved stays exactly where it is and remains fully usable: you can view it, edit it, generate the free summary from it, export it to CSV and back it all up.

The app tells you when five slots are left, so the limit never arrives as a surprise, and it declines before you fill in a form rather than after. To carry on, remove a product you no longer own, or buy the Complete Warranty Report.

Can I download my report?

Yes. Every report has a download button and a print button. The download is a self-contained file you can keep, email or attach to a claim, and printing produces a clean page without the site navigation around it.

Can I generate the report again after purchasing?

Yes, as often as you like, at no extra cost. The report is built fresh from your records each time, so it reflects what you track today rather than what you tracked on the day you paid.

Where are my receipts and product records stored?

In your own browser, on your own device. Product details sit in the browser's local storage and receipt images in its local database. None of it is uploaded, and there is no cloud copy and no account-based syncing.

That means nobody here can see your purchases, your prices or your bills — not as a promise, but because no copy exists to look at. It also means clearing your browser's site data or switching device takes the records with it, which is exactly what the backup export is for. Keeping one somewhere safe is the only protection against losing them, and it is entirely in your hands.

Do I receive automatic email reminders?

No. Warrantyfy does not send expiry reminders by email, on either plan. Email is used only to send a password reset link or an unlock code after a purchase.

Two things do exist instead. The site can show a browser notification when a warranty enters the warning window, but only while you have the site open. More useful is the calendar export: it puts every expiry date into your own calendar app, where the reminder fires whether or not you ever return here. That is deliberate — an email reminder service would need a server holding your product list, and nothing of yours is on our server.

Is Warrantyfy an insurance or extended-warranty provider?

No, and it never will be. Warrantyfy sells no cover of any kind. It is a record-keeping tool for the manufacturer's warranty you already have, so you can use it before it lapses.

There is no policy to buy, no claim to file with us and nothing that can be rejected. The ₹199 report is a document about your own records — it is not a protection plan and it does not pay out.

Questions

The things people ask first

Do I have to create an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email address to hand over. Open the tracker and start adding products.

Your records are saved by your browser on the device you are using, which is why no account is needed. The trade-off is real and worth knowing: clearing your browser's site data, or moving to a new phone, takes the records with it. That is what the backup export is for — one file holds every product and every receipt, and importing it on the new device restores the lot.

Where exactly are my receipts stored?

In your browser's own local storage on your device. Product details go in local storage; receipt and invoice files go in the browser's local database, which is built for larger files.

Your receipts are never transmitted to us. There is no upload step and no copy on our side — nobody at this end can see your purchases, your prices or your bills.

There is an optional account, and it is worth being precise about what that does and does not change. An account stores your name, email address and phone number, so we can reach you about a purchase or an unlock code. It does not store a single product, receipt, price or photograph, and signing in on another device will not bring your records across — only your own backup file does that. If you never create one, nothing on the site is withheld from you.

How accurate is the receipt scanner?

On a flat, well-lit bill it reliably picks up the purchase date, the total, the shop name and the invoice number, and it catches the warranty period when the receipt states one. On a creased thermal receipt photographed at an angle it will get things wrong — characters that look alike swap most often, so 0 and O, 1 and I, 5 and S are the usual slips, which matters most for serial and model numbers.

That is why nothing is saved from a scan without you seeing it first. Each field is shown next to the line of text it was read from, with how confident the reading was, so you can correct it in a tap. A silently wrong purchase date would be worse than no scan at all, because you would not find out until a claim depended on it.

Does scanning upload my receipt anywhere?

No. The text recognition runs inside your browser on your own device. The photograph is never sent to us or to any recognition service, and neither is anything read from it.

The one thing that happens over the network is the first scan downloading the recognition engine itself from a public software distribution network — an ordinary request for a program file, carrying nothing about your receipt. After that it is cached and scanning works with no connection at all. If you would rather not make even that request, every field the scanner fills can simply be typed in.

How is the expiry date calculated?

Warranty length is added to the purchase date, then one day is subtracted. Twenty-four months from 2 December 2023 gives 1 December 2025, because the purchase anniversary is already the first uncovered day.

Month-ends are handled the way they should be rather than the way naive date arithmetic does it. One month of cover from 31 January ends 27 February — adding a month to the 31st clamps to the end of February instead of spilling into March, and then the minus-one-day rule applies.

Will it email me before a warranty expires?

No, and that is deliberate. Email reminders need a server, an account and your address, which would undo the reason this works without any of those things.

Instead, reminders are exported to the calendar you already use. Download the calendar file and each live warranty becomes an all-day event ahead of its expiry date, with an alert attached — so the reminder arrives on your phone whether or not you ever open this site again. Anything inside your warning window also shows in amber on the dashboard, and you can let the site show a browser notification if you prefer.

Can I move my existing spreadsheet in?

Yes. Import a CSV and the columns are matched automatically — product name, purchase date, warranty period, brand, model, serial, price, seller, receipt number, tags and notes are all recognised under several common headings.

Dates are read in both day-first and month-first order, resolved using your date-format setting. Warranty lengths written as 24, 2 years, 6 months or even 0.5 are all understood. Expiry dates and statuses in your sheet are deliberately ignored and recalculated, so a stale column cannot carry a wrong date across.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — it is designed for a phone first, since that is where you are standing when you unpack something. Everything works on a small screen, including the table view, which scrolls sideways.

There is no app to install. Use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option and it opens full-screen like an app, and keeps working with no connection.

Do you sell extended warranties or insurance?

No. Warrantyfy holds records; it does not underwrite, sell or administer cover of any kind, and it is not an insurance intermediary. There is no policy here and no claim to file with us.

If you have bought a protection plan elsewhere, record its end date and policy number alongside the manufacturer's warranty. Seeing both together is how you know which one to call first.

What does it cost?

The tracker, the calendar, the search, every view, CSV import and export, backups and calendar reminders are free for up to 20 products, with no trial that runs out and no card needed.

The site is supported by advertising, and by an optional Complete Warranty Report: a one-time payment of ₹199, which also removes the 20-product limit. No feature of the tracker is held back behind it.

Is the free version limited in some hidden way?

There is one limit, and it is stated plainly: the free tracker holds up to 20 products. Beyond that there is nothing hidden — no attachment cap beyond what your device can store, no watermark on anything, no trial clock and no feature that quietly stops working.

Reaching 20 never deletes or hides anything. Every product and receipt you have already saved stays exactly where it is, and you can still edit, export and back it all up. You simply cannot add a twenty-first until you remove one, or buy the Complete Warranty Report, which removes the limit.

The other real limit is your browser's own storage allowance, which is typically large enough for hundreds of products with receipts. The tracker shows you how much you have used.

Start with the thing most likely to break.

One product, thirty seconds. The purchase date and the warranty length are all it needs — everything else can wait until the receipt is in front of you.
