Terms of use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

1. What the service is

Warrantyfy is a free, browser-based tool for recording product warranties, purchase details and related documents, and for calculating warranty expiry dates from the information you enter. It also publishes general informational guides about product warranties.

2. What the service is not

This is important, so it is set out plainly.

  • Warrantyfy does not sell, underwrite, administer or broker warranties, extended warranties, protection plans, service contracts or insurance of any kind.
  • We are not an insurance intermediary and we are not a party to any warranty between you and a manufacturer, seller or plan provider.
  • Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial or insurance advice. The guides are general information only.
  • We cannot make, support, pursue or influence a warranty claim on your behalf, and we have no relationship with any manufacturer or service provider.

3. Your records are your responsibility

Everything you enter is stored by your browser on your own device. We hold no copy. In consequence:

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.
  • You are solely responsible for keeping backups. The backup export exists for this purpose.
  • We cannot recover data that is lost, cleared, or removed from your device for any reason, including by you, by your browser, by your operating system, or by a device failure.
  • Clearing site data, using a private window, uninstalling the browser or changing device may remove or strand your records.

4. Calculated dates are indicative

Expiry dates, remaining periods and statuses are calculated from the information you enter, using the method described in our guide to warranty expiry dates: the purchase date plus the warranty length in months, less one day.

These calculations are for your own planning. The actual terms of cover are determined entirely by the manufacturer's or seller's own warranty document, which takes precedence in every case. Warranty start dates, split component periods, mileage caps, registration requirements, servicing conditions and exclusions vary and may differ from what a calculated date suggests.

Do not rely solely on this site to determine whether you are covered. Verify against the warranty document before acting.

5. The informational guides

Warranty periods, exclusions and consumer rights vary by product, brand, retailer, country and over time. The guides describe what is commonly the case; they do not describe your specific situation and may not be current. Always check the documentation supplied with your product, and take professional advice where the amounts involved justify it.

6. Paid report

The optional detailed report is a one-off purchase that unlocks report generation in the browser you use it in.

  • The report is generated from your own records. Its usefulness depends on the completeness and accuracy of what you have entered.
  • It is a formatted presentation of your own information. It is not a certificate of cover, a policy document or verification of anything by us or any third party.
  • The unlock applies to the browser and device where it is entered. Clearing site data will require re-entering the code, so keep the purchase email.
  • Because the product is delivered digitally and is usable immediately, refunds are at our discretion. If it does not do what this site says it does, contact us and we will put it right.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to interfere with, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
  • copy, scrape or republish substantial portions of the site's content without permission;
  • misrepresent a generated report as having been verified or issued by us or by any third party;
  • use the site to create false or fraudulent records of ownership or purchase.

8. Advertising

The site carries third-party advertising. We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for advertised products or services, including any warranty, protection or insurance products that may appear. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them. See the privacy policy for how advertising handles data.

9. Availability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. Because your records are held on your own device, the site becoming unavailable does not remove your data — but you should keep an exported backup so you can read it elsewhere.

10. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, guides and software are owned by us and protected by copyright. You may use the site for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce or redistribute the content commercially without permission.

The data you enter remains entirely yours. We claim no rights over it, which is straightforward given that we never receive it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. This includes, without limitation:

  • a warranty claim that is refused, expires, or is not made;
  • repair or replacement costs you incur;
  • loss of data held on your device;
  • reliance on a calculated date that differs from the actual terms of cover;
  • reliance on general information in the guides.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, if anything, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the latest revision, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have jurisdiction, save where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
